*** DALLOWAY is in foal to FOUNDATION for 2020 ***
Dalloway is a very exciting 2009 year old mare bred in Germany, with 3 really exceptional paces. In the summer of 2012 she gained her State Premium title in Germany and in September 2011 she was Reserve Youngstock Champion at the British Hanoverian Horse Society. She is a full sister to the German Hanoverian 3 year old Champion of 2011, Delaney (see Home Page News). She is by the Hanoverian licensed black stallion Desperados, currently one of Germany's most talented Grand Prix horses and who won Olympic Team silver under Kristina Sprehe at the games, London 2012. Her dam is a beautiful dark brown mare by Lauries Crusador, who has produced a number of foals with exceptional movement including Dalloway's full sister Delaney as mentioned above, and her full brother, a black stallion, who licensed as a two year old at Verden in November 2012. Indeed the motherline has won over Euros 1 million in competition winnings. Dalloway was graded 1A at her Hanoverian evaluation as a two year old in 2011, and then left for Germany to be licensed in 2012. During the process she was invited to attend the prestigious Herwart von der Decker show, to compete with Germany's 100 best three year old mares (see news). Dalloway (who is called Grace at home) is now in foal to For Compliment for 2014.
Desperados (by De Niro x Wolkenstein II) was a premium stallion at the Hanoverian December licensing in 2004 in Verden following a very successful 30-day test (scoring a 9.5 for his canter and two 9.0s from the guest riders). In 2004 he placed third at the Bundeschampionat in the class for three-year old stallions. He won the 2004 Hanoverian Championships in Verden, as well as a bronze twice at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf in 2004 and 2005. Over the next few years he won at Prix St. Georg and Intermédiaire I in various competitions including at Hamburg, Neumünster and at the 2009 Nürnberg Burgpokal Final against strong international competition. In 2010 he was one of the grand prix stars in Germany winning the Medien Cup qualifier in Hagen and the 2010 Hamburg Dressage Derby under his long time trainer and rider Falk Rosenbauer.
He has also made his mark as a breeding stallion. Daughter Doris Day became the 2010 Bundeschampion in the 3-year old Mares and geldings class. His son, Desert Storm, was the star in the foal collection at the Fall Elite Auction in Vechta in 2008. In 2009 his first sons, Destano, Derby Dancer and Double Joy were licensed and received widespread attention.
Her dam is by thoroughbred stallion Lauries Crusador, the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2006, who has had a considerable refining influence on the breed with more than 103 State Premium mares, 39 licensed sons, (13 of them being registered into the premium stallion register) and an incredible 546 registered competition horses to his name.
Her paternal grandsire, De Niro, has been highly successful in the Grand Prix dressage ring and also as a producer of licensed sons and daughters. Her paternal grand dam, Wie Musik, is by Wolkenstein II, 50% of whose female offspring have achieved State Premium Mare status. The Celle state stallion Tannenberg by Trapper, in the third generation on the dam’s side, was decorated as the "best stallion of his age class" in his day and is of Trakehner origin.

About Waverley Stud
Based in the heart of England (near Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire - home of the British Dressage National Championships) we breed and train a small number of dressage horses each year. Using only Elite or State Premium Dressage mares of good character, together with the best international stallions (all of which are Performance Tested and proven) our stock is of exceptional quality and trainability.
Leni won the 4 year old class at Manor Grange yesterday with a score of 8.46. He was an absolute star. Thrilled with him. He has a real work ethic and three fabulous paces, so we're excited about his future.
