About Waverley Cristal (2014)
Full Name: Waverley Cristal (2014)
Breeding Summary: Woodlander Clapton / Don Frederico / Davignon
Sire: Woodlander Clapton
Dam: St.Pr.St. Double Diamond
Colour: Dark Bay
Cristal is a stunning dark bay filly (her adult coat will be the same as her dam ) by Clapton (a young black Hanoverian licensed stallion by Christ bred by Lynne Crowden) out of a fabulous Don Frederico/Davignon/Calvados State Premium mare, performance tested in Verden, Germany. This is an exceptional foal with a really connected and harmonious top line, long legs and superb paces. She is also a little sweetheart, standing patiently and without complaint, loving cuddles and fuss, while her mother was being scanned at six hourly intervals during a frozen semen AI process for a potential 2015 foal.
Her dam St Pr Double Diamond, is a beautiful dark bay State Premium mare with an expressive feminine face, incredibly powerful and elastic paces, and strong, harmonious topline. With Donnerhall featuring strongly on both sides of the pedigree, she was sired by the fabulous Don Frederico (Donnerhall/Consult) with Davignon (Donnerhall/Pik Bube) as her dam's sire. Her mother is Davina, Lynne Crowden's top foundation mare - a mare line which has produced the wonderful Woodlander Wavavoom and a number of state premium mares. Performance tested in Verden Germany, all her scores (with the exception of jumping) were 8 or above with 9 for her walk, 8 for her trot, 8.5 for her canter, and 9 for her rideability.
Woodlander Clapton achieved the most difficult stallion approval with the Hannoverian International. With a lovely head and supremely beautiful type, he is a charismatic and modernising stallion with three good gates and a fantastic canter. His dam was a foal champion in Germany and Hanoverian Youngstock Champion in the UK, before winning her State Premium in Germany. In 2012, she distinguished herself further by topping the broodmare rankings for the British Equestrian Federation through the quality and scores of her offspring. Her 2012 colt, by Hotline, was BHHS Champion and BEF Foal Champion. There is also much Trakehner blood in this pedigree. This is the mare line of the great stallion Wie Weltmeyer, ridden internationally by Emma Hindle, and also the record young dressage horse, Diamond Dream, who sold for hundreds of thousands at three years.
Based in the heart of England (near Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire - home of the British Dressage National Championships) we breed and train a small number of dressage horses each year. Using only Elite or State Premium Dressage mares of good character, together with the best international stallions (all of which are Performance Tested and proven) our stock is of exceptional quality and trainability.
Just thought I'd let you know how Rocco is doing - he is
absolutely massive I'm sure he's going to make about 18h at this rate!
But he'll be big anyway like you said and just what I wanted. He's a
lovely boy and stands very good when having his foal feet trimmed. He
let's me go into him and make a fuss - he's so easy to handle - unlike my other foal who is an evil monster in miniature! Hope you and horses are well x (Apr 2012)
'Monik is just super. A really happy lady to have around. She lives with
her best buddy Nora (a KWPN broodmare) and they are excellent mates!' (Oct 2011). 'She is a fabulous mum and was indeed five days early as you said
she would be! She is a joy to have around. She lives out with her other
broodmare friend and despite the ridiculous weather is pretty happy!' (Jun 2012)
