Waverley Florisgold (2011)// A Chestnut Hanoverian Filly.
About Waverley Florisgold (2011)
Full Name: Waverley Florisgold (2011)
Breeding Summary: Floriscount / De Niro / Banditentraum
Dam: Drogheda (v. De Niro)
Height: To make 16.3
We bought Florisgold (or Fanta for short) as a foal in Germany in the late summer of 2011. She brings together the blood of the very talented stallion Floriscount (currently competing at small tour) with that of De Niro - the most prolific of dressage sires with more offspring competing at Grand Prix level than any other stallion except for Gribaldi. She is exceptionally beautiful with a rich deep chestnut colour, four white socks and an elegant tapering blaze on her fine head. She is an athletic youngster with a super topline and neck. She has an excellent canter and long swinging walk, while her trot is developing as she builds strength under saddle. She has been working on the long reigning and lunge during the latter half of 2014 and was backed in November. After time off over Christmas, she is now going well under saddle and will be aimed at young horse classes this spring. Fanta is from the coveted damline of the Champion Oldenburg mare Soiree D'Amour (who placed 5th in the World Breeding Championships in 2014).
Fanta's sire is the impressive 17 hand, 2005 chestnut stallion Floriscount. The spitting image of his grandsire Florestan I, he dominated the field at his stallion performance test, winning the dressage index with scores of 10 for his rideability and canter. In 2010 and 2011, beginning his dressage career, Floriscount won numerous competitions and qualified for the Bundeschampionat many times. At the same time his breeding career began to flourish. In 2011 two of his sons were placed in the final ring of the German Foal Championships; he dominated Europe’s biggest foal auction in Verden with 21 offspring; and his son Future Star was top-priced foal in Vechta. In Verden in the summer of 2014, at the World Breeding Championships, he won the Nurnburger Burgpokkal qualifier (the elite PSG competition for young horses aged between 7-9 years of age) by a comfortable margin and very hot company. He was proclaimed Oldenburg Stallion of the Year at the 2014 Stallion Licensing, gaining the prestigious title OLD, in November. Then in December, just before Christmas, he went on to take second (by a hair's breadth) in the Burgpokkal final in Frankfurt, before dazzling everyone in the kur with a first place and a score over 90%!
Floriscount's sire, Florencio I, was a two-time dressage horse World Champion and triumphed at Prix St. Georges-level in dressage. His dam, El.St. Arkona, is the dam of the Premium Stallion Sandakan (by Sandro Hit), stationed at the Swedish National Stud in Flyinge, and of the Mecklenburg Premium Stallion, Floriscount II. The dam’s sire, Donnerhall, is the epitome of a successful synthesis between breeding and sport. The granddam, St.Pr./El.St. Arwaldis, was the 1991 Oldenburg Reserve Champion Mare.

'Monik is just super. A really happy lady to have around. She lives with
her best buddy Nora (a KWPN broodmare) and they are excellent mates!' (Oct 2011). 'She is a fabulous mum and was indeed five days early as you said
she would be! She is a joy to have around. She lives out with her other
broodmare friend and despite the ridiculous weather is pretty happy!' (Jun 2012)
Just thought I'd let you know how Rocco is doing - he is
absolutely massive I'm sure he's going to make about 18h at this rate!
But he'll be big anyway like you said and just what I wanted. He's a
lovely boy and stands very good when having his foal feet trimmed. He
let's me go into him and make a fuss - he's so easy to handle - unlike my other foal who is an evil monster in miniature! Hope you and horses are well x (Apr 2012)
