Waverley Hermes Lady (2012)// A Black KWPN Filly.
Full Name: Waverley Hermes Lady (2012)
Breeding Summary: Wynton / Special D / Equador 9From Voltaire from Furioso II)
Height: To make 16.3 - 17
Approved By: Microchipped and registered with full KWPN passport
The lovely lady Hermes was foaled on May 19th, 2012. She is a very elegant filly, light and supple and is showing an athleticism that would equip her for either dressage or show jumping; and a gallop that would even equip her for eventing! She has a highly cadenced trot and a very active ground covering canter. Her walk indicates a good over track at this stage. She is submissive in hand (at walk and trot) and loads and unloads calmly. At the Futurity, where she was awarded a First Premium, the vet gave her an 8.75 and the judges praised her elegance, her suppleness, her qualtiy and the fact that she is so light on her feet.
Hermes marries two performance winning dressage lines in her pedigree; lines that won gold and silver in the 2012 Olympic games in London - those of Jazz and Olympic Ferro. Her sire is by the Champion Dutch Stallion, Wynton, who is by Jazz (the sire of Adelinde Cornelissen's lovely Olympic silver medal winning ride Parzival). Wynton has all the presence and brilliant paces of his sire, but he also has an amenable and trainable temperament which is so important to the ultimate rideability of the horse. Hermes is already showing that she is trainable as she quickly learned to work in hand. More information on Wynton can be found under the stallions tab herehttp://www.waverleystud.co.uk/wynton.html.
Her dam is a very beautiful mare by Special D. More information on Hermes's dam can be found here. Special D, is by Metal - the sire of Carl Hester's Olympic ride Uthopia. Metal is a half brother to Valegro, the London 2012 gold medal winner, who, like Metal, is by Ferro. Her dam's sire is Equador (who also sired the 2004 Dutch Olympic dressage team member Idocus). Equador is by Voltaire, who is in turn by Furioso II, so that the pedigree is also rich in international showjumping blood which provides the athleticism and longevity that all dressage horses require. In the fourth generation, the Thoroughbred Apple King adds the refinement so evident in Zouelle's and Hermes's long legs and elegant conformation.

'Monik is just super. A really happy lady to have around. She lives with
her best buddy Nora (a KWPN broodmare) and they are excellent mates!' (Oct 2011). 'She is a fabulous mum and was indeed five days early as you said
she would be! She is a joy to have around. She lives out with her other
broodmare friend and despite the ridiculous weather is pretty happy!' (Jun 2012)
Just thought I'd let you know how Rocco is doing - he is
absolutely massive I'm sure he's going to make about 18h at this rate!
But he'll be big anyway like you said and just what I wanted. He's a
lovely boy and stands very good when having his foal feet trimmed. He
let's me go into him and make a fuss - he's so easy to handle - unlike my other foal who is an evil monster in miniature! Hope you and horses are well x (Apr 2012)
