Breeding Summary: Quantensprung / San Amour / Rubin Royal

Quintessential is a very big moving athletic colt with a strong topline - especially his loin and croup which express sheer power. He has had the ability to sit since his first days and has such a balanced canter he has done clean changes since the age of three weeks. He is bold and curious.
His mother Samoa, is an Elite Brilliant ring, State Premium Oldenburg mare, with three super paces. She imparts great athleticism and movement to all her foals, irrespective of sire.
Sire Quantensprung finished his 30-day-performance test with 9.75 points for rideability in the test rider assessment, as well as with highest marks for the basic gaits and temperament. In 2014, Quantenprung won and placed in young horse classes, and in 2015 he qualified for the German National Young Horse Championships. He became best stallion and Bronze medalist at the World Championships of the Young Horses in Verden with a score of 8.9 points. At the Klosterhof's Autumnal Auction seven foals were sold for the average price of 19,000 Euros.
Grand sire, Quando-Quando won his stallion performance test in 1998. For many years he was among the top of the international dressage horses with his rider Kristy Oatly-Nist. He participated for Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006 and at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong in 2008. His sire Quattro stems paternally from Qredo de Paulstra, who won the Grand Prix of Bordeaux, maternally from the legendary Furioso xx and was a successful international show jumper. Quando Quando has already produced the stallion Quaterman, who's first crop yielded Quaterback - Bundeschampion and performance test champion.
Quantensprung's dam is by Donnerhall, descending from the exceptional mare line of Friedrich-W. Maack, Glücksstadt which also provided the National Champion Mare Pik Bube's Girl in 1990; State stud stallions Don Crusador and Don Bosco; as well as several highly successful show jumpers like P.B. Lungau by Landklassiker, successful at 5* level and P.B. Ramiro's Son by Ramiro, successful at 3* level with his rider Sören von Rönne.

About Waverley Stud
Based in the heart of England (near Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire - home of the British Dressage National Championships) we breed and train a small number of dressage horses each year. Using only Elite or State Premium Dressage mares of good character, together with the best international stallions (all of which are Performance Tested and proven) our stock is of exceptional quality and trainability.
Leni won the 4 year old class at Manor Grange yesterday with a score of 8.46. He was an absolute star. Thrilled with him. He has a real work ethic and three fabulous paces, so we're excited about his future.
